Summertime brings new rhythms and different levels of availability for many people. We want to foster connection between folks at Grace as the weather improves and many small groups break until Fall. Summer 7’s is our attempt to do just that! Each of the groups typically have somewhere between 6-8 adults assigned to each of them (along with any corresponding children). We attempt to form the groups so that participants overlap with some similar interests. Each group has a coordinator (“team captain”) who is responsible to work out and communicate a time/place/plan for each of the gatherings for their group. The groups have a lot of flexibility and do their best to meet 3-4 times over the Summer for some food and/or an activity together. Past groups have done everything from picnics/BBQs to hikes or even lake days based off what folks are interested in!
